Hello!

“The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes.”

Marcel Proust

I’m writing this blog post to document my travels- to share photos (memories, and lessons) from trips around Australia and further afield.

I’ve been so incredibly lucky to see so much of the world…to see scenes of worlds so far away, yet known as home to other people.

Through this blog I’m hoping to share some of these experiences, and help myself remember them. It’s no good just remembering the destinations without reminding myself of the journeys between them.

Right now, I’ve been living in Jakarta, Indonesia for just over 6 months. While I’ll explore my travels here in later blogs, it’s been a huge reminder that life is not just lived at points, but during all the times in between. I’ve found that if you only live for a few infrequent adventures, you’ll find yourself disappointed for the rest of it.

“A good traveller has no fixed plans and is not intent on arriving”

Lao Tzu

Goals are important, but forgetting to enjoy the time in between is just as dangerous as missing a deadline. I don’t think I’ve quite got the hang of it yet…but maybe one day I’ll look back and see that I’m there.

Read on to find out just where this road goes.
