While life was far from difficult in Jogya, being so close to the ocean was and not visiting it would be an obvious oversight for a bunch of Australians. One of our number pulled a heroic effort and on our last full weekend we travelled the 2 hours south the Pantai Watu Kodok- Watu Kodok Beach.
While not as exciting as some of our other adventures- it proved a relaxing weekend full of sand and sea!

View of the rice fields from our accommodation- a rustic villa overlooking the town and the ocean, where one could read a book with a beer in hand. Or better yet, enjoy the sunset with friends, some good music and a drinking game or two.
